Title (Max 100 Charaters)
A Snohomish family was involved in a head-on crash in Kitsap County on Sunday morning that injured all four members of the family and forced a woman in a second car to miscarry.
The crash happened on Highway 303 east of Silverdale. The Washington State Patrol says that a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 47-year-old Dennis Johnson of Snohomish was traveling northbound on the highway near Ridgetop Boulevard when it drifted across the median and into the southbound lanes. It then collided head-on with a 2001 Hyandai Accent driven by a 22-year-old Bremerton woman.
Both Johnson and the woman in the other car were badly injured in the crash and were taken to Tacoma General Hospital. Johnson suffered face and chest injuries, while the woman, who was four months pregnant, had leg, chest and abdominal injuries. Her injuries were bad enough that she miscarried and lost her unborn child.
Johnson's wife and two kids were all taken to Harrison Medical Center in Silverdale, treated for their injuries and released.
The WSP says it is investigating whether a medical situation with Johnson was a main factor in the crash.
